(3) Devegetation

Heavily contaminated fiber is processed through a unit that will remove vegetation without damaging the fiber.(click photo for larger image)

(6) Carding

From the web through a 'false twister' we have roving coming from machine into barrels.(click photo for larger image)

(7) Drafting

The drafting process marries three rovings from carding machine. A pin roller combs the fiber so all fibers are parallel. Also, through use of variable speed rollers the roving is thickened or thinned as required.(click photo for larger image)

(10) Spinning Frame

The fiber has been thinned out and is shown being actually spun.(click photo for larger image)
