We invite any Alpaca lover to stop by Lightfoot Farms, meet our alpacas and enjoy a personal consultation. Not only do we breed alpacas and offer breedings from exceptional lineage, but as 'fiber people' we know what makes an alpaca valuable. Alpacas are valued by far more than just a pretty face. We would be more than happy to show you our herd and explain why we offer superior alpacas and how the alpaca industry offers a lifestyle changing experience as well as an investment opportunity.

Our alpaca farm is Located in beautiful Kennebunk, Maine, only 25 minutes from New Hampshire or about 90 minutes from Boston, Massachusetts. We breed exceptional Alpacas from award-winning stock . Lightfoot Farms hosts alpaca education seminars when time allows. We try to make these alpaca programs convenient to people in Maine, New Hampshire and Massachusetts. The first was held at the Crowne Plaza Hotel & Conference Center, Nashua, NH and featured Senior Alpaca Judge Mike Safley as well as internet and alpaca marketing experts, Hazen & Susan Reed. The second located at a hotel & farm in Maine included alpaca show training for new and prospective alpaca owners and the third at a Maine Community College and at Lightfoot Farms featuring Dr Toni Cotton, Dr Stachowski, Dr Daniela Bedenice and Mary Reed, alpaca fleece specialist.
Like many others of our "Boomer Generation”, we have engaged in numerous business endeavors over the years. The alpaca farm was our first venture raising animals. Originally Walter taught microbiology at a college in Boston, MA, and Doris worked as a laboratory technician in a suburban hospital.
